WILLIAM CLARKE COLLEGE

Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead

Tuesdays after school at William Clarke College
From 3:30pm – 5:00pm at the Sports Classroom
For students in Year 1 to Year 4

Explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art and maths

Children will get exposed to a variety of tools, kits and methods through which they can explore the
world around them.  They can create prototypes and test theories.  They can dream, design and build
what their imagination desires.

  • Build-A-Mind staff will collect participating students from the bottom of the steps at the Primary Assembly Area at 3.10pm and escort the students to the program location. In the event of wet weather, students will be collected outside classrooms KG and KT.
  • The Build-A-Mind program will be held in the PDHPE classrooms adjacent to the Sport Centre on Morris Grove.
  • For the children, there are toilets available adjacent to those classrooms.
  • Parents may provide their child with afternoon tea and this can be eaten by the students after school, supervised by Build-A-Mind staff. Build-A-Mind will not be providing food or drink for the students.
  • Students will remain in their school uniform during the program. If children are wearing sports uniform on the day, students may remain in this uniform.
  • Your child should be collected from the PDHPE classrooms at the completion of the day (5:00pm). Children are to stay for the duration of the Build-A-Mind session.
  • At pick up time, parents are urged to park legally on the street or in the car park accessed past the Sports Centre and then enter the classroom to collect their child.
  • If your child is formally registered to attend BAASC on Tuesday afternoons, BAASC staff will collect the children from the Sports Centre classroom and escort them back to BAASC. You must advise BAASC staff that your child is attending the Build-A-Mind program.
  • Please be sure to advise us if your child is not attending school and therefore not attending Build-A-Mind on a particular day.
